Jamshedpur Christians Prepare for Solemn Good Friday and Joyous Easter

JAMSHEDPUR – Christians across the city are also eagerly preparing for Easter Sunday, looking forward to attending dawn services and sharing a traditional breakfast, marking the end of Lent.

The day after Good Friday, Easter celebrations will include early morning church services, followed by a festive breakfast featuring dishes made with eggs and milk, symbolizing the end of the Lenten fast.

Father David and Father Peter spoke on the significance of Good Friday, noting it as a time for fasting, reflection, and acknowledging Jesus Christ’s sacrifice for mankind’s sins.

The exchange of Easter eggs on Sunday will serve as a symbol of new life and forgiveness, echoing the community’s anticipation for the celebrations.
