JAMSHEDPUR – Panic spread in the Birsanagar police station area on Tuesday morning after a moving Hyva truck suddenly caught fire near Hurlung Bridge at around 5 am. The incident involved vehicle number JH02AX 2778, which was travelling from Baharagora towards Jamshedpur.
According to reports, smoke suddenly started coming out of the vehicle as it reached near Hurlung Bridge. Within moments, the smoke turned into flames, creating panic among people present nearby.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Dilip Gop, acted promptly and safely stopped the Hyva on the roadside before stepping out of the vehicle. His timely alertness helped prevent a major accident. Preliminary information suggests that the fire may have been caused due to a short circuit.
After receiving information about the incident, local residents rushed to the spot and helped in efforts to control the fire. No casualties were reported in the incident, although the Hyva sustained partial damage due to the fire.
