JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel has launched a dedicated pickleball facility called Pickle Rush along with a new Sports Hostel at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, expanding the city’s sports infrastructure.
D. B. Sundara Ramam, Vice President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel, performed the inauguration on May 16, 2026. Senior officials, athletes, and sports enthusiasts were present on the occasion.
Pickleball is among the fastest-growing sports globally. The new Pickle Rush court brings this sport officially to JRD Sports Complex. The facility is professionally developed for both recreational and competitive play.
Tata Steel has adopted a “Pay & Play” model for the facility. This ensures access for players across all age groups and skill levels. The court booking tariffs are structured as follows:
