JAMSHEDPUR – Markets across the city have decked up ahead of Janmashtami, with devotees showing considerable enthusiasm for the birth anniversary celebrations of Lord Krishna.

However, as Janmashtami draws closer, the bustle in Jamshedpur’s markets continues to grow. A wide range of outfits for Laddu Gopal are available in shops, from colourful garments to elaborate crowns, with small costumes and adornment items for the deity proving especially popular among devotees.
In addition to the outfits, idols of Lord Krishna, flutes, peacock feathers, crowns and various adornment items are also being sold in the markets. Notably, many devotees regard Laddu Gopal not merely as a deity but as a young member of their own household.
