JAMSHEDPUR – East Singhbhum police carried out a community outreach drive in rural and remote areas of the district on Tuesday, aimed at strengthening community policing efforts. Senior Superintendent of Police Dr Ehtisham Waqarib, along with the Superintendent of Police (Rural), visited remote villages under rural police station areas and distributed study material among local students.

During the visit, police officers held direct conversations with villagers and students to understand their problems, needs and suggestions. Officials assured residents that police remain continuously engaged in addressing issues related to public safety and development.

As part of the campaign, villagers were made aware of the harmful consequences of witch-hunting, Naxalism and other social evils. Officials also held detailed discussions on the ill effects of drug addiction and the need for collective participation in de-addiction efforts.

Police officers appealed to residents to promptly report any suspicious activity in their surroundings to help maintain peace, security and social harmony in the area. The programme received positive cooperation from villagers and students, officials said.
