US Consul General’s Jamshedpur Visit Focuses Opportunities in Jharkhand

Melinda Pavek to Explore Emerging Opportunities in Collaboration with USA; Talks at XLRI and Visits Key Companies

US Consul General Melinda Pavek’s visit to Jamshedpur highlights economic collaboration and opportunities between the USA and Jharkhand, focusing on trade, education, and entrepreneurship.

JAMSHEDPUR – Melinda Pavek, Consul General of U.S. Consulate General in Kolkata, is visiting Jamshedpur from August 24 to August 26.

She will be attending a seminar on "Emerging opportunities in Jharkhand in collaboration with the USA" at The Ramada Hotel in Bistupur on August 24.

The seminar is organized by Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC), Jamshedpur Chapter, an apex bi-lateral Chamber established in 1968 for India-US Economic Engagement.

IACC, East India Council, plays a vital role in facilitating trade, commerce, and business policies between the two nations.

The visit highlights the recent economic interest and collaboration between India and the United States.

Melinda Pavek will also visit XLRI, Tata Steel, M/s Cummins India, M/s Timken India, and RSB Group companies during her stay.

On August 25, she will give a talk on "Challenges & Opportunities in Supply Chain Management" at XLRI and have an interactive session with E-Cell Members.

Her dialogue will extend to the Tribal Entrepreneurship Project and XLRI’s innovative educational goals.

Pavek, with international experience and previous roles at Johnson & Johnson and as an English teacher in Japan, holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts degree.
