SERAIKELA – A speeding truck damaged several parked vehicles at Kandra Mor after the driver reportedly lost control late Thursday night.
Meanwhile, the collision occurred under the Kandra police station area. The truck reportedly travelled at high speed.
Moreover, witnesses said the driver appeared drowsy before the crash. The vehicle carried registration number JH02AY 3700.
However, the truck first struck multiple roadside vehicles near Kandra Mor. An Alto, Scorpio, and Ertiga suffered extensive damage.
Furthermore, the impact severely damaged all three parked vehicles. Local residents rushed outside after hearing loud noises.
Besides, the truck continued moving after the initial collision. It later smashed through a forest department boundary wall.
Subsequently, the vehicle entered the forest department premises before stopping. Panic spread throughout the nearby locality afterward.
Meanwhile, residents immediately informed Jamshedpur-area police officials about the incident. Officers soon reached the accident location.
Additionally, police seized the damaged vehicles for investigation purposes. Authorities also began collecting details about the truck owner.
However, the truck driver escaped immediately after the crash. Police later started searches to trace the missing driver.
Fortunately, nobody remained inside the parked vehicles during the collision. No injuries or deaths were reported afterward.
