JAMSHEDPUR – Kamal Bali, the President and Managing Director of Volvo Group India, today shared some exciting news.
He revealed that Volvo Group India has plans to introduce hydrogen-powered trucks, which is a significant step towards sustainable transportation.
Additionally, Bali mentioned that they have received increased work orders from Jharkhand industries, indicating a growing demand for their products and services in the region.
"We are currently researching the use of direct hydrogen injection for trucks and plan to start manufacturing in India soon," Bali said during the CII Manufacturing Conclave East.
Volvo is planning to increase their orders from the Adityapur Industrial Area because they have been impressed with the exceptional quality of work.
"India’s economy is expected to grow ten times its current size, benefiting all industries," Bali projected, placing a strong emphasis on sustainability.
He emphasized how important it is to achieve gender equality, address climate change, and adopt circular economy practices.
"In one unit, we have a workforce of 5000 individuals who are engaged in technology and renewable energy projects throughout India," Bali mentioned.
Volvo has recently introduced LMG trucks and is now making progress towards developing vehicles powered by hydrogen cells.
