National Conference on Rivers, Hills Begins in Jamshedpur

JAMSHEDPUR – A two-day national conference on river and hill conservation began Friday in the city.

Meanwhile, the programme opened at Motilal Nehru Public School auditorium. Retired Supreme Court judge V. Gopala Gowda attended the inauguration.

Moreover, water conservation activist Rajendra Singh joined the opening ceremony. Organisers lit ceremonial lamps during the inaugural session.

Furthermore, Saryu Roy attended the conference with several environmental experts. Dinesh Mishra and Dr. Gopal Sharma also remained present.

In addition, B. Satyanarayana and Bibhuti Debbarma attended the programme. Arun Kumar Shukla also joined the event.

Besides, Yugantar Bharati chairman Anshul Sharan attended the conference. Indian Forest Service officer Siddharth Tripathi also participated.

Meanwhile, Amity University vice-chancellor Professor Piyush Kant Pandey attended the gathering. Experts from different states also joined discussions.

However, the first technical session was scheduled Friday afternoon. Discussions were planned between 3 pm and 5 pm.

Moreover, experts planned deliberations on mountain conservation legislation. Twelve specialists were expected to provide recommendations.

Furthermore, participants planned discussions on amendments within the proposed draft. Organisers arranged group deliberations among experts.

Later, another technical session was scheduled Friday evening. Discussions were planned between 5:45 pm and 7:45 pm.

In addition, ten experts were expected during the evening session. Presentations and discussions were planned during the programme.

Meanwhile, Yugantar Bharati jointly organised the national conference. Swarna Rekha Area Development Trust also supported the programme.

Furthermore, Tarun Bharat Sangh participated among organising institutions. Dhanbad-based IIT ISM also joined preparations.

Besides, Jal Biradari and Nature Foundation supported the event. Mission Y also joined organisational efforts.

Moreover, organisers aimed strengthening environmental protection efforts nationwide. Policy discussions focused on rivers and mountain conservation.

Furthermore, the conference aimed increasing public environmental awareness. Collective conservation efforts were also discussed.

Additionally, one participant said environmental cooperation required immediate coordinated action. The delegate stressed stronger conservation frameworks nationwide.
