Students Highlight Akashvani’s Role in Society and Culture

JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur witnessed a speech competition at Karim City College celebrating 90 years of Akashvani.

Karim City College and Akashvani Jamshedpur jointly organised the programme on Thursday. Meanwhile, the event marked Akashvani’s upcoming 90th foundation anniversary.

Akashvani will complete 90 years on June 8 this year. Moreover, Prasar Bharati is conducting celebrations across the country.

Students delivered speeches on five selected competition topics. Meanwhile, topics focused on broadcasting, culture and social awareness.

Participants expressed their views within fixed speaking durations. Moreover, students demonstrated confident presentation and communication skills.

Principal Dr. Mohammad Riyaz welcomed guests during the inaugural session. Meanwhile, he highlighted public broadcasting’s role in shaping responsible citizens.

He said broadcasting platforms continue informing and educating society effectively. Moreover, he stressed the importance of responsible journalism and communication.

Rajesh Kumar Rai addressed students during the competition programme. Meanwhile, he discussed Akashvani’s contribution to education and public awareness.

He also highlighted Akashvani’s support towards literature and cultural promotion. Moreover, he explained its long-standing broadcasting legacy.

Rakesh Raman joined the judging panel during the competition. Meanwhile, Vivek Aditya also evaluated participants’ presentations and content.

Dr. Neha Tiwary served as another competition judge during the programme. Moreover, students from several departments participated enthusiastically.

Nandini Dutta from Mass Communication secured the first position. Meanwhile, Raunak Roshan from Mathematics finished second.

Sangam Gupta from Physics secured the third position in the contest. Moreover, judges praised several participants for strong performances.

Shashwat Tripathi from Hindi Department received appreciation for presentation quality. Meanwhile, Ayush Asthana impressed judges with speech content and delivery.
