JMM Leaders Repair Damaged Statue Ahead of Martyrdom Day Celebration
The statue of late MP Sunil Mahato near Tatanagar Station receives repairs and will be honored on his martyrdom day.
JAMSHEDPUR – The damaged statue of Bir Shaheed former MP Sunil Mahato, located near the Tatanagar Station Sankata Singh Petrol Pump, has been restored.
Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader Mahabir Murmu, with his team, coordinated the repair efforts led by sculptor Subodh Gorai.
The restoration process included repairing, painting, and cleaning the statue, ensuring it stands as a fitting tribute to the late leader.
A commemorative event is scheduled for 10 am on March 4, 2024, to celebrate the martyrdom day of Bir Shaheed MP Sunil Mahato, marking his contributions and legacy.
Notable attendees at the restoration included Chief Paltan Murmu, Mohammed Jamil, Mithun Chakraborty, Narayan Soren, and several others, demonstrating the community’s respect and admiration for Mahato’s memory.
This event underscores the ongoing remembrance and honor bestowed upon leaders who have significantly impacted the region and its people.
