Terrifying incident near Govindpur railway stop, minor from West Bengal found unconscious
In a shocking turn of events, a minor from Jhargram, West Bengal, was found unconscious near the Govindpur railway stop, leading to an uncle’s arrest for the assault under POCSO.
JAMSHEDPUR – The police have taken a man into custody, identified as the uncle of a minor, following the latter’s disturbing revelation of being assaulted.
The investigation led to the capture of the assailant in Jhargram, West Bengal, during a raid.
Firoz Khan, 19, is now facing charges related to the assault.
The police were able to notify the family, who then filed a complaint at the Govindpur police station.
Authorities discovered the victim unconscious near the railway stop, necessitating immediate medical attention.
The accused spent the night on a Govindpur market pavement before fleeing back to Jhargram.
The victim recounted being lured away from home with the promise of crisps, only to be assaulted near the Govindpur station.
The uncle managed to escape after the assault, leaving the youngster vulnerable until help arrived.
The victim was treated at MGM Hospital and is currently recovering, while the uncle awaits legal proceedings.
