Students plant seeds, perform eco-themed shows to promote environmental care

Kerala Public School’s Seed Day event fosters environmental responsibility among students through engaging activities.

JAMSHEDPUR – Kerala Public School hosts Seed Day Celebration, encouraging students to become eco-conscious citizens.

Kerala Public School marked August 30 with a vibrant Seed Day Celebration, emphasizing environmental stewardship.

The event, graced by Chairperson Manorama Nair as Chief Guest, aimed to create an eco-friendly school environment.

Students showcased their commitment through dance, drama, and speeches focused on protecting Mother Earth.

Headmistress Alamelu Ravishankar inaugurated the celebration, highlighting pre-primary students’ eco-projects.

"Today’s children are tomorrow’s environmental guardians. We’re planting the seeds of awareness in their minds," Ravishankar stated.

A key highlight was the germination activity, where students and dignitaries planted seeds together.

The "Going Green" initiative was further emphasized through a musical skit on "Save Earth" and "Say No to Plastic".

School Director Sharat Chandran praised the students’ enthusiasm: "Their energy gives us hope for a greener future."

The celebration included eco-themed games, reinforcing environmental lessons in an engaging manner.

Dignitaries, including Academic Director Lakshmi Sharat and Principal Sharmila Mukherjee, commended the event’s impact.

The day concluded with a token of appreciation for guests and the singing of the National Anthem.

Organizers hope the event will inspire long-term environmental consciousness among students.

The school plans to continue such initiatives to maintain focus on ecological issues throughout the academic year.

Local environmental groups have praised the school’s efforts in nurturing young eco-warriors.
