Seraikela: Police have intensified their action to arrest former executive officer of Seraikela Nagar Panchayat Sameer Bodra, who is absconding in a rape case. After the non-bailable warrant (NBW) was issued from the court, the police is continuously searching for them.
In this sequence, on Tuesday, Chaibasa women police station in-charge Shila Minj reached Seraikela Nagar Panchayat office with the police force. There he collected detailed information regarding Sameer Bodra from the officers and employees working in the office.
The police also inquired about their possible locations, recent activities and contact sources.
According to police sources, Sameer Bodra is continuously absconding to avoid arrest since the warrant was issued by the court. It is being told that he has switched off his mobile phone, due to which the police is having difficulty in tracing his location.
Investigating agencies believe that the accused is constantly changing his location so that he can avoid police action.
Considering the seriousness of the matter, special police teams are continuously conducting raids at various possible places. Apart from this, the acquaintances and relatives of the accused are also being monitored.
Police claim that the accused will be arrested soon on the basis of technical and human information.
Police officials have said that in compliance with the court order, every possible effort is being made to arrest the accused and all his attempts to evade the law will fail. The police are continuously monitoring the matter and the investigation is being carried forward.
