Noamundi Runathon 2022

Noamundi: At Tata Steel, sports is a way of life. Since inception, the steel major has aimed at creating opportunities for excellence in sports contributing by promoting sports at national and international levels thereby creating and encouraging a health consious society.

After a gap of 2 years due to COVID-19, Tata Steel brings the fourth edition of much-awaited ‘Tata Steel NoamundiRun-a-thon’ on the theme ‘Building a greener tomorrow’. This is the fourth edition of run-a-thon by Tata Steel in its Noamundi Iron Mine targeting not only the rural population but also runners from across the nation running for a healthy and green future.

This year, the event is being held on November 27, 2022 (Sunday) at Sports Complex, Noamundi for categories like 10 K and 7 K run for men and women (15 years and above), 5 K run for boys and girls under the age of 16 years (born between November 27, 2010 and November 27, 2006), and 2 K run for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs). The total prize money to be won in various categories is Rupees Five lakh Thirty Seven Thousand (Rs 5, 37, 000/-) only.

Like earlier years, this year also, Tata Steel aims to have participation from across the country where everyone will unite and run for a greener, healthy and prosperous tomorrow.

Registrations are open for this edition of Noamundi Run-a-thon and will close on November 20, 2022. For online registration, participants can log on to http://www.tatasteelnoa-run.com. Offline registrations can also be done at Sports Complex, Noamundi from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM except Saturday and Sunday. There will also be registration kiosks in schools, colleges and villages across Noamundi and Chaibasa region for offline registration.

It is worth mentioning here that the company organises this kind of Run-a-thon at three locations namely, Jamshedpur, Bhubaneswar and Noamundi.
