The body of a missing young man has been discovered near the Badla river in Lohardaga, with local police suspecting epilepsy as the cause of death.

LOHARDAGA – Three days after his disappearance, the body of a young man from Badla Nawa Toli in the Senha police station area was found near the Badla river bridge.

Locals alerted the Senha police station after discovering the body near a pool on the Badla river.

Station in-charge Abhinav Kumar arrived on scene with a team, where they confirmed the identity of the deceased as Mohan Oraon, 40, the son of late Shivdayal Oraon from Nava Toli.

Mohan had been missing for three days.

Living alone, he was often seen near the river and had a known history of epilepsy.

Abhinav Kumar, the station in-charge, reported that the body was discovered by villagers heading to their farms after rainfall on Wednesday.
