New Triennial Executive Elected for 2026-2029 at Gamharia Meeting; Amit Modak Continues as State Secretary

JAMSHEDPUR — The state-level meeting of the Hindustan Scouts and Guides Association, Jharkhand, was held at the Arunodaya Club auditorium in Gamharia, where the triennial elections for the 2026-2029 term were conducted and a new state executive was constituted.

The previous executive’s term had ended in 2025. The elections were held to form a fresh state executive. The entire process was conducted peacefully and in accordance with organisational rules, under the presence and supervision of National Secretary Rajesh Kumar and National Chief Commissioner Umesh Kashyap.

Officers from various districts of Jharkhand attended the meeting in person. In addition, some district office bearers participated through a Zoom meeting. All elections were conducted by consensus.

Zila Parishad member Pinky Mandal was elected unanimously to the post of state president. Amit Modak was re-elected as state secretary. Akhileshwar Prasad was chosen as chairman, while Suresh Narayan Chaudhary was elected as vice president. Kusum Devi was elected as vice president of the Guide Wing and Sunil Singh as vice president of the Scout Wing. Pranay Rai was elected as joint secretary, Ganga Sagar Singh as treasurer, Jagbandhu Mahato as joint secretary, and Dinabandhu Panda as state commissioner for the Scout Wing.

In his address, National Secretary Rajesh Kumar praised Amit Modak for his commendable work as state secretary during the previous term. He noted in particular that Modak had played a crucial role in ensuring that children from the state received state-level awards, which had brought the organisation significant recognition at the state level.

The programme concluded with a collective resolve to strengthen Scout and Guide activities across Jharkhand further in the years ahead.
