Health Department Activated Special Measures Amid Rising Temperatures

Key Points:

  • Special heat stroke wards opened in two hospitals
  • ORS corners started across government health facilities
  • Civil surgeon issued advisory against afternoon exposure

JAMSHEDPUR – The East Singhbhum health department launched emergency summer healthcare arrangements following rising temperatures across the district.

Meanwhile, authorities activated special heat stroke care centers in government hospitals.

The facilities were established at Jamshedpur Sadar Hospital and Bahragora Community Health Centre.

Moreover, both hospitals received two dedicated beds for heat-related emergencies.

In addition, hospitals stocked medicines and emergency medical equipment beforehand.

Furthermore, trained healthcare workers were deployed inside the special treatment centers.

However, officials feared increasing heatwave-related illnesses across East Singhbhum district.

As a result, ORS distribution corners started functioning inside government hospitals.

Besides, patients received free ORS packets at the designated hospital counters.

Meanwhile, hospitals arranged additional drinking water facilities for visitors and patients.

Later, Civil Surgeon Dr. Sahir Pal issued public safety instructions.

Moreover, he urged residents avoiding unnecessary afternoon outdoor movement.

In addition, he advised people consuming enough water throughout daytime hours.

However, he requested immediate medical consultation after any heat-related symptoms.

Furthermore, the department claimed preparedness for emergency heatwave situations.

Besides, officials considered these arrangements important during the ongoing temperature rise.
