JAMSHEDPUR – Bharatiya Janata Party Mahila Morcha’s Jharkhand state president, Dr. Seema Singh, arrived in Jamshedpur as part of an organisational tour on Wednesday.
Local Mahila Morcha workers and leaders gave her a grand welcome upon arrival. They greeted her with floral garlands during the reception.
Speaking to reporters, Singh said her visit carries particular significance this term. She noted that she has previously served twice as the wing’s general secretary.
She also praised the dedication shown by women workers across the Kolhan region. “Workers in Kolhan have never lacked commitment or loyalty,” she said.
Singh added that the women here remain highly spirited and devoted to their work. However, she said the wing’s strength would grow further through this Jamshedpur visit.
Meanwhile, she expressed full confidence that the entire Mahila Morcha would fulfil its duties with strength and honesty. She said the organisation would work with total loyalty going forward.
Speaking on the purpose of her tour, Singh credited her colleagues and seniors for her motivation. “This affection from my sisters is my real strength,” she said.
She added that all workers would collectively use their experience to strengthen the organisation. Several senior office-bearers of the Jamshedpur Mahanagar Mahila Morcha attended the event, along with a large number of women workers.
Singh’s visit comes amid continued political activity across Jamshedpur this week. Other parties have also been active locally, including a recent student wing protest against the state government.
Separately, BJP leaders have continued to raise issues around state policy matters in recent weeks. Meanwhile, other women leaders in the city have also taken up new roles, such as institutional appointments reported this month.
