Tiger Sighting in Patamda Sparks Widespread Concern

JAMSHEDPUR – A tiger has been sighted in Patamda, Jamshedpur, causing significant concern among residents. After its presence created fear in West Bengal, the tiger reportedly reached Gobarghusi in the Patamda region, leaving footprints and audible roars.

Villagers on Edge as Tiger Moves Close to Residential Areas

Footprints were found in the villages of Kukru and Apo, with locals hearing the tiger’s roars. Two villagers, Ajit Singh and Vrikodar Sabar, reportedly saw the tiger from a close distance. Their account led to swift action by the forest department.

Authorities Deploy Measures to Contain the Situation

Forest officials confirmed the footprints belonged to a tiger. A special team from Palamu conducted a site inspection, validating the claims. CCTV cameras have been placed in the affected areas to monitor the tiger’s movements. This incident follows similar sightings, such as tiger paw prints found in Jamshedpur villages and tiger activities in Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary.

The tiger’s presence has left many villagers too afraid to leave their homes, disrupting daily life. One resident remarked, “The fear is overwhelming. We hope the authorities will ensure our safety.”

Efforts to locate and manage the tiger are ongoing, as officials urge residents to remain vigilant.
