Eye Camp and Blood Donation Drive in Jamshedpur Honors Late K K Singh

The second day of the 705th Netra Jyoti Mahayagya sees the inauguration of an operation session at Ram Manohar Lohia Eye Hospital, Bagbera.

JAMSHEDPUR – The four-day 705th Netra Jyoti Mahayagya, organized in memory of the late K K Singh, entered its second day with the inauguration of the operation session at Ram Manohar Lohia Eye Hospital.

The event, located at Bagbera Police Station Chowk, began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new operation theater.

Patron Mrs. Urmila Singh and trustees of the Usha Singh Bharat Seva Foundation, along with top ophthalmologists, marked the inauguration.

On the first day, a team of five eye doctors successfully performed operations and lens implantations on 124 patients.

The event also included eye examinations for new patients, with surgeries scheduled for January 13.

Vijay Kumar Singh of the Red Cross Society highlighted the priority of successful operations for all selected patients.

Eye camps will continue through March to address the increasing patient backlog.

The final ceremony of the eye camp is scheduled for January 9 at Ram Manohar Lohia Eye Hospital, with the Governor of Jharkhand as the chief guest.

Additionally, a blood donation camp is set for January 8, organized by B.P. Oil Mills in collaboration with the Red Cross Society.

The camp aims to encourage widespread participation and will operate from 9 am to 3 pm.

This series of events reflects the community’s commitment to healthcare and social responsibility, honoring the legacy of the late K K Singh.
