Cash stolen by cutting shutters of 4 Sakchi shops
Jamshedpur: Unknown thieves targeted and carried out a heist in 4 shops of Sakchi Jhanda Chowk market. Around Rs. 9 lakh in cash have been reportedly stolen. The shops targeted are Fashion World, Abhinandan, M Mart and Kurti Bazar.
According to sources, 6 lakh cash was stolen from Fashion World shop, while the sales proceeds of 4-5 days were kept in its shop.
Rs 2 lakh in cash was stolen from M-mart, While Kurit market lost Rs 5000 from the market and Rs 8000 was stolen from from Neetu’s shop.
CCTV cameras are installed in the shops.
The City SP Subhash Chandra Jat and Sakchi police station in-charge Kunal Kumar have reached the site and are investigating.
This may be one of the biggest thefts ever in the market.
On the one hand the business of textile business has suffered a setback due to lockdown, on the other hand the shopkeepers are in a state of shock as the theft has come as a big financial blow for them.
