Police crack Azadnagar theft case within 24 hours, 2 arrested, 1 minor sent to reformatory

Jamshedpur: In a major success, Jamshedpur police have been able to crack a big theft case within 24 hours. The police have also succeeded in recovering most of the stolen items and have arrested three persons, including one minor.

It may be added that on Sunday, at noon, a resident of Azadnagar police station area, Haider Iqbal had gone out with entire family and went to Sakchi for some personal work. The thieves took advantage of the family’s absence and entered his house and stole jewellery, laptop, mobile and other items.

According to police, the criminals escaped with items worth more than Rs. 30 lakh.

The police had formed a special team for probing the incident. The team acted fast and after investigations got solid leads into the incident. The team arrested Sheikh Arman and Sameer from the Azadnagar area. One minor too was part of the gang and he was taken into custody, but was later sent to Child Reformatory.

The SSP Dr. M Tamil Vanan said that the police have recovered almost all the stolen items too.
