JAMSHEDPUR — The Indian National Trade Union Congress (Federation), known as INTUC, has taken a significant step towards strengthening and expanding its organisational structure in Jharkhand, with a fresh set of provisional appointments announced at the state level.
The appointments were made on the directive of the organisation’s national working president, Shaitansingh Solanki. Siraj Abbas Rizvi has been named as the provisional president of the Jharkhand state unit of INTUC (Federation).
According to an order issued by the organisation, all the new appointments have taken effect immediately. However, they will remain provisional until they are confirmed at the next organisational meeting or conference, and will be subject to the approval of the competent authority.
The order also reserves the right of the competent authority to amend, replace, or withdraw any of the appointments in the interest of the organisation. All appointments will remain in a provisional capacity until regular organisational elections are held.
INTUC leadership expressed confidence that the new appointments would give the organisation greater strength in Jharkhand and provide fresh direction to the fight for workers’ rights in the state.
INTUC (Federation) is one of the prominent central trade union bodies in India, affiliated with the Indian National Congress. It has a significant presence in industrial belts, including those in Jamshedpur and other parts of Jharkhand, where trade union activity has historically been strong given the region’s large industrial and mining workforce.
