MEDININAGAR – A district-level workshop on Panchayat Empowerment was held on Friday at the Malay Dam complex in Satbarwa, Palamu. State Finance Minister Radhakrishna Kishore addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of education and collective efforts for holistic development.

Minister Kishore stated, “The foundation of a strong educational system lies in efficient primary schools in villages. Panchayat representatives must regularly inspect schools to ensure quality education.” He underscored the need for training Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs) to strengthen rural healthcare and lauded initiatives like the Mukhyamantri Maiyan Samman Yojana, which empowers women economically.

Emphasis on Ground-Level Feedback

Deputy Commissioner Shashi Ranjan highlighted the pivotal role of panchayat representatives in bridging the gap between administration and ground realities. “Panchayat representatives provide vital feedback from ground zero, aiding effective governance,” he remarked. Ranjan stressed the importance of workshops for familiarizing representatives with government schemes and fostering better administrative coordination.

Exhibitions and Participation

The event featured stalls from over 15 government departments, showcasing various schemes and their implementation. Key attendees included District Council Chairperson Pratima Kumari, Municipal Commissioner Javed Hussain, Deputy Development Commissioner Shabbir Ahmed, Vice President Alok Singh, and other local leaders and representatives.

Participants expressed enthusiasm about future workshops aimed at enhancing collaboration and awareness.
