JAMSHEDPUR – A 60-day tobacco-free youth campaign has been launched in Jamshedpur to raise awareness and promote a healthier lifestyle among residents.

Deputy Development Commissioner flagged off an awareness chariot from the collectorate.

Moreover, the campaign aims to engage schools, medical institutions, and panchayati raj organizations.

On the other hand, officials participated in a signature drive to support the anti-addiction message.

Additionally, they released balloons to symbolize freedom from addiction.

The Deputy Development Commissioner emphasized the importance of effective implementation for positive results.

Furthermore, he stressed the need for widespread participation, especially from educational institutions and local government bodies.

"The main objective is to create awareness among youth," stated a reliable source.

In addition, efforts will be made to declare gram panchayats and schools tobacco-free.

However, the campaign seeks to involve all citizens, not just remain a government program.

Meanwhile, officials have been given guidelines to ensure successful execution at district and block levels.
