MLA Sanjeev Sardar Inspects Bagbera Water Supply Scheme, Sets June 15 Deadline

Officials Assure Timely Completion; MLA Warns of Action if Deadline Missed

Key Points:

  • MLA Sanjeev Sardar inspects Bagbera Brihad Jalapurti Yojana with officials and supporters
  • June 15 deadline set for commencement of water supply to Bagbera area
  • MLA warns of action against officials if water supply does not begin on time

JAMSHEDPUR — Potka MLA Sanjeev Sardar visited the Bagbera Brihad Jalapurti Yojana site today along with his supporters and departmental officials to inspect the progress of the ongoing water supply project. During the inspection, he reviewed the status of work under the scheme and issued several directions to the officials concerned.

Sardar said that a meeting had been held a few days ago involving local representatives, departmental officers, and other concerned officials regarding the Bagbera Brihad Jalapurti Yojana. It was decided at that meeting that water supply to the area would commence by June 15.

During the inspection, officials assured the MLA that the supply would begin within the set deadline. However, Sardar made it unambiguously clear that if water supply did not start by June 15, necessary action would be taken against the officials responsible for the delay.

He said that providing drinking water to the residents of the area at the earliest was his top priority. The drinking water crisis has been a persistent concern in several parts of Jamshedpur and its surrounding areas. In a related development, MLA Saryu Roy had also recently demanded transparency over the Mango drinking water project from the municipal corporation.

The Bagbera Brihad Jalapurti Yojana is intended to address the long-standing problem of inadequate potable water supply in the Bagbera area. Residents of the locality have been waiting for the project to become operational for a considerable period.
