M Panchal, a resident of Vijaya Heritage in Kadma, sent a WhatsApp message about his suicide attempt to a friend on Thursday.

When his friend received no response to his calls, he informed Panchal’s family.

The family also failed to contact Panchal and alerted Vijay Anand Moonka, president of the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Moonka sought help from the Jamshedpur police, who tracked Panchal’s mobile location to Adityapur.
