Five-Day Yellow Alert for Rising Temperatures in Jamshedpur and Nearby Regions
Residents of Jamshedpur and surrounding areas are facing a severe heat wave, with temperature alerts issued for the coming days.
JAMSHEDPUR – Recent reports from the Meteorological Department have predicted an intense period of heat for Jamshedpur, with a significant rise in temperatures expected.
The region witnessed extreme heat on Sunday, with Seraikela hitting 42.3 degrees Celsius, and Jamshedpur and Chaibasa recording 42 and 42.8 degrees Celsius, respectively.
A yellow alert has been activated by the Meteorological Center in Ranchi, cautioning of an increase in heat by two to three degrees in the near future.
Officials are urging the public to minimize outdoor activities, stay indoors as much as possible, and maintain hydration to mitigate the effects of the heat wave.
