Jharkhand to Endure Continued Heat Wave Despite Slight Relief

Meteorological Department reports persistent heat across multiple districts despite slight alleviation.

Jharkhand’s battle with the ongoing heat wave is set to continue, with temporary relief doing little to mitigate the overall high temperatures across the state.

RANCHI – Jharkhand’s battle with the ongoing heat wave is set to continue, with temporary relief doing little to mitigate the overall high temperatures across the state.

Abhishek Anand, the head of the Ranchi-based weather center, has stated that despite a decrease in severity, the oppressive heat is expected to persist in many areas until at least May 2.

The forecast shows no immediate respite, with heat wave conditions likely to affect districts such as Bokaro, Dhanbad, and Deoghar through April 30 and May 1.

Further, East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, and Seraikela-Kharsawan are anticipated to experience severe heat until May 2.

While Ranchi enjoys brief morning coolness, the skies remain clear and dry, and temperatures are predicted to stay unchanged for the coming days.

Rain is not expected until after May 3, but isolated northeastern regions might see light showers and thunderstorms on May 5.

Recent reports noted that while some areas received light rain, districts like Godda suffered intense heat, with temperatures peaking at 44.3 degrees Celsius.
