Manipal Alumni Reunite at Successful Oncology Event and Alumni Gathering

In a significant gathering at Manipal Tata Medical College (MTMC), over 220 students and alumni converged for an enriching Oncology Colloquium and the annual Manipal Alumni Meet. The event highlighted cutting-edge discussions on oncology and celebrated the ongoing contributions of Manipal alumni.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Oncology Colloquium, a flagship academic event at MTMC, showcased a panel of distinguished alumni from various esteemed institutions, engaging in a comprehensive dialogue on the evolution and prospects of cancer treatment.

Dr. G Pradeep Kumar, Dean of MTMC, presided over the session, emphasizing the critical role of education in oncology.

Expanding Academic Horizons

MTMC’s Alumni Cell, buoyed by the event’s success, announced plans to organize regular academic sessions.

These talks will aim to nurture ongoing education for students and provide practical insights into patient care.

"Our commitment to medical education and patient support continues to strengthen through these interactive sessions," stated a faculty member.

Alumni Night Festivities

Later in the day, the Office of Alumni Relations lit up the campus with festive decorations to welcome back former students for the Manipal Alumni Meet – 2024.

Dr. Anjaneyulu Konuri and his team orchestrated the evening, which featured speeches, music, and dance, reinforcing the strong ties between the alumni and their alma mater.

Approximately 50 alumni participated, sharing memories and lessons from their time at Manipal.

"The bond we share with Manipal is everlasting and enriches both our professional paths and personal lives," Dr. Unnikrishnan B expressed during the meet.

The day concluded with a grand dinner, celebrating the shared history and achievements of the Manipal community.

"It’s these moments of reunion that remind us of our journey and inspire us forward," Dr. G Pradeep Kumar commented, amidst an atmosphere of joy and nostalgia.
