MLA Saryu Roy Seeks Action Against IMA Jamshedpur Officebearers

Saryu Roy files breach of privilege notice against IMA office bearers for questioning his assembly rights

Jamshedpur East MLA takes legal steps against IMA Jamshedpur branch office bearers for challenging his assembly questioning rights.

JAMSHEDPUR – Saryu Roy, the MLA for Jamshedpur East, has approached the Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato with a breach of privilege notice against Indian Medical Association (IMA) Jamshedpur branch office bearers.

The notice targets IMA Jamshedpur’s president Dr. GC Majhi and secretary Dr. Saurav Chaudhary.

Their criticism of Roy’s right to question in the Assembly prompted this legal action.

It may be mentioned here that the officials held a press conference, allegedly critiquing Roy and questioning his moves in the Assembly.

Assembly Speaker Mahato assured Roy of legal action regarding the breach of privilege.

Saryu Roy accused the IMA leaders of challenging an assembly member’s questioning rights and intentions.

Saryu Roy’s supporters say that Roy’s questioning in the Assembly was depicted as harassment towards a female doctor.

They said that this move by Roy aims to uphold the privileges of assembly members and ensure accountability.
