JAMSHEDPUR – In an effort to fortify the transparency of the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections in Jamshedpur, Ananya Mittal, the East Singhbhum District Election Officer and DM, convened a significant meeting with bankers from the region.
Bankers have been instructed to vigilantly monitor their clients’ transactions.
They are specifically directed to report any transaction exceeding Rs 10 lakh to the Expenditure Cell without delay.
This directive is part of a broader strategy to prevent any undue influence on the electoral process through financial means.
Mittal emphasized the importance of these measures in maintaining the sanctity of the elections.
"Keeping a meticulous watch on high-value and suspicious transactions is crucial for conducting the elections in a free, fair, and transparent manner," an official stated.
