Jamshedpur police bust snatcher gang, 3 arrested
The city police have solved several cases of snatching by arresting 3 members of a gang. All three have been sent to judicial custody.
Jamshedpur: The city police have busted a snatcher gang and arrested 3 members of the gang. It has also solved several incidents of loots carried out in different areas of the city in the recent times.
During the investigation, the police team recovered 15 mobiles looted by them in different police station areas of the city along with motorcycles used in the incident and Rs 8000 in cash.
During a press conference at Bistupur police station on Wednesday, City SP Subhash Chandra Jat said that on September 11, a woman resident of Telco police station area was looted by bike-borne criminals near Chinmaya School. After which the woman lodged a written complaint in the police station.
Soon after, the police took into custody A Das, A Rajak and R Yadav, residents of Golmuri and seized a bike by conducting an anti-crime checking drive in the city.
After thorough interrogation, he confessed his involvement in the incident of snatching from the woman.
The police also got information about their involvement in several other cases in many other police station areas.
The City SP Subhash Chandra Jat said that the three accused carried out the incident for money for fulfilling their need for addiction.
All were sent to judicial custody in the snatching case.
15 mobile phones, Rs. 8,000 in cash, bikes used in snatching were seized from them.
The three accused have been sent to judicial custody.
The City SP Subhash Chandra Jat appealed to the youth of the city to avoid addiction and wrong habits and also appealed tot he parents to take special care of their children and keep an eye on them.
