Jamshedpur police arrest two from a mobile snatching gang, recover phones and a motorcycle in Burmamines.
The Burmamines police station in Jamshedpur has apprehended two individuals linked to a mobile snatching operation, seizing several mobile phones and a motorcycle.
JAMSHEDPUR – In a significant crackdown, the Burmamines police have dismantled a part of a mobile snatching gang operating in Jamshedpur, securing the arrest of two of its members.
Identified as Sandeep Das and Abhi Singh, also known as Yashdeep Singh, these individuals have been remanded to judicial custody following their apprehension.
The police’s success came after receiving tips about two youths on a Bullet motorcycle engaging in theft near a local post office.
A swift response by the Tiger Mobile and patrolling teams led to the suspects’ capture, along with the recovery of the stolen mobile phones.
Further investigation resulted in the discovery of seven additional mobile phones, all of which are being processed for judicial proceedings.
SSP Kishore Kaushal highlighted the operation’s success, underscoring the police’s commitment to curbing such criminal activities in the region.
