JAMSHEDPUR – Spiritual speaker Jaya Kishori captivated thousands at the opening day of a religious katha in Sakchi.

The three-day “Nani Bai Ro Mayro” katha began on Tuesday. It was organised by Narayani Seva Trust in Sakchi.

The event is being held at Chandulal Ashok Kumar Bhalotia Sabhagar. The venue is located near Bodhi Temple ground.

Meanwhile, renowned spiritual orator Jaya Kishori delivered the discourse. She spoke from the Vyas Peeth during the session.

She narrated the life and devotion of saint Narsi Mehta. Her narration included his deep faith in Lord Krishna.

Moreover, she explained how Narsi Mehta attained divine blessings. She highlighted his spiritual journey and unwavering devotion.

She also described his early life struggles. She said he was mute and deaf in childhood. However, divine grace later enabled him to speak.

On the other hand, she spoke about marriage and life changes. She explained how a woman’s life transforms after marriage.

She said simplicity and devotion defined Narsi Mehta’s life. She added that chanting God’s name was central to his journey.

Meanwhile, she narrated the story of Nani Bai. She described how Lord Krishna fulfilled her मायरा through divine intervention.

She said Narsi Mehta remained devoted despite poverty. His faith, she said, never wavered even during hardships.

According to the narration, Lord Krishna took his form. He fulfilled expectations beyond imagination at Nani Bai’s in-laws’ home.

Moreover, she said such stories reflected the power of belief. She added that true devotion leads to divine connection.

Before the discourse, rituals were performed traditionally. These included Ganesh Vandana and Kalash Sthapana.

Navagraha worship and prayers at Vyas Peeth were conducted. Devotees also offered prayers to Lord Krishna.

Meanwhile, Acharya Abhishek Tiwari from Kolkata conducted rituals. The ceremony followed traditional procedures.

Afterward, Jaya Kishori was welcomed with customary honours. She was felicitated by organisers at the venue.

The event will continue till April 2. On Wednesday, she will narrate further episodes of the katha.

These include Kumkum Patrika and Narsi Mehta’s journey. She will also speak about his meeting with Lord Krishna.

Meanwhile, over 6,000 devotees attended the first day. The venue remained packed throughout the programme.

Several organisers contributed to the event’s success. Key figures included Rajkumar Chanduka and Rajkumar Sanghi.

Others included Kailash Saraiwala and Vijay Mittal. Multiple volunteers also supported arrangements.
