JAMSHEDPUR – A fire broke out at the closed Incab factory premises in Jamshedpur, with no immediate reports of casualties or injuries.
The blaze was reported inside the abandoned industrial complex in Jamshedpur. The unit has remained shut for several years.
Meanwhile, thick smoke was seen rising from within the compound. Local residents alerted authorities after noticing flames.
However, officials said there was no immediate information on injuries. Assessment of property damage is underway.
Fire tenders were rushed to the site. Crews began efforts to prevent the spread.
Moreover, police secured the surrounding area. Entry into the premises was restricted during operations.
The Incab factory was once a major cable manufacturing unit. It later became entangled in insolvency proceedings.
