JAMSHEDPUR – A grand press conference was held Tuesday to announce the Steel City Classic Championship 2026 – Season 2, a three-day fitness competition scheduled for April 3, 4, and 5 at Rajasthan Bhawan in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.

The event was announced by Sudeshna Roy, the chief organiser of the championship.

Roy said the aim was not merely to hold a competition.

“We want to transform fitness into a full-scale movement across Jharkhand,” she said. “Every young person must recognise their own potential.”

She added that the event had been designed with inclusivity at its core.

“We have kept the registration fee highly affordable,” she said. “No talent should be held back due to financial constraints.”

The organisers have confirmed that winners will receive attractive cash awards. In addition, trophies, medals, and merit certificates will also be distributed.

Moreover, accommodation and food arrangements are being made for all participants. This will allow competitors to focus fully on their performance without any other concerns.

Bodybuilders and fitness athletes from across Jharkhand are expected to take part. Roy expressed enthusiasm about the volume of registrations received so far.

“We are proud that participants are eager to join from every corner of Jharkhand,” she said. “This event will take the state’s fitness standards to a new level.”

Several prominent community figures were present at the press conference. They included Sanjeev Mahato, Nisha, Priya Kumari, Dolly Singh, Ganesh Kand, Aman Pathak, Anand Kumar, Sanjit Kumar, and Anant Lohra.

Meanwhile, all those present pledged their active role in making the fitness championship a grand success.

The Steel City Classic Championship is Season 2 of the series. The first season had already generated considerable enthusiasm among fitness enthusiasts in the region.

The event is part of a growing calendar of sports tournaments in Jamshedpur. The city has been witnessing an increasing number of competitive events in recent months.

Jamshedpur has produced several champions in national and international competitions. Jamshedpur athletes have consistently brought laurels to the city on various platforms.

The organisers have appealed to all athletes and fitness enthusiasts to register and participate in the championship. They have also invited residents of Jamshedpur to come out and support the competitors.
