Jamshedpur MLA Saryu Roy Pushes for Individual Energy Connections in Incab Township

Saryu Roy, an MLA from Jamshedpur East, has urged the state government to ensure individual energy connections to each home in the Incab township.

JAMSHEDPUR – MLA Saryu Roy has warned that he would approach the electricity regulating commission if the government fails to order that each home in the Incab township region receive a separate electrical connection.

Roy has expressed his displeasure with the government’s response to the Vidhan Sabha question in a communication with the Additional Chief Secretary of the Energy Department.

The government reports that energy connections have been provided to nine institutions for power distribution in nine sectors in response to local requests. These institutions supply electricity to all homes in the area.

Saryu Roy, the MLA for Jamshedpur East, has questioned whether the government plans to instruct Tata Steel Limited, the licensee company, to provide electrical connections to each house in the cable sector.

The Jharkhand State Energy Regulatory Commission is expected to receive a request from the state government to act on providing individual energy connections to each house in the Incab township.
