Betia – A massive fire in Bettiah destroyed dozens of homes, leaving many families homeless and causing heavy property losses.

A sudden blaze broke out in Bettiah’s Bairia block area. It occurred in Laukaria panchayat’s ward numbers four and five.

Meanwhile, the fire spread quickly due to strong winds. Panic gripped residents across the Musahar settlement.

However, people fled their homes to save their lives. Most could not retrieve their belongings in time.

Moreover, more than 50 houses were completely destroyed. The flames reduced entire structures to ashes within minutes.

In addition, several livestock died in the fire. Essential household items were also completely destroyed.

On the other hand, stored grains and clothes were lost. Daily-use items were burned beyond recovery.

Meanwhile, initial estimates indicate losses worth several lakhs. The destruction affected already vulnerable families severely.

However, many families are now without shelter. They are forced to stay under open skies.

Moreover, food and basic necessities have become scarce. Relief support is urgently needed for survival.

Meanwhile, fire brigade teams reached the site after receiving information. Locals assisted them in controlling the flames.

However, it took significant effort to contain the fire. The exact cause remains unknown so far.

In contrast, authorities have begun assessing the damage. Officials stated relief materials will be provided soon.

Moreover, similar fire incidents have occurred in rural settlements earlier. Experts often link them to unsafe cooking conditions.
