Key Officials Convene to Finalize SOPs and Ensure Readiness for Final 72 Hours Before Voting

The administration has instructed continuous monitoring by the expenditure team to prevent illegal activities.

JAMSHEDPUR – District Election Officer Ananya Mittal emphasized coordination among police and administrative officials to maintain law and order during the final 72 hours before voting.

The meeting, held at the Collectorate Auditorium, saw significant attendance from senior officials.

Mittal highlighted the need for continuous vigilance and thorough vehicle checks.

She directed that no gift items, including cash, liquor, or food, should be distributed.

Vehicles should be checked intensively to prevent illegal transportation.

Mittal reviewed arrangements at the Co-operative College and LBSM College dispatch centers.

She stressed the importance of cleanliness, availability of drinking water, and reserve mobile toilets.

Polling personnel will receive essential materials and ORS packets to combat heat-related issues.

A detailed labor deployment plan at dispatch centers was discussed.

Bank stalls will handle complaints, vehicle tagging, and payment to polling personnel.

Estimated voting percentages must be updated timely on Encore.

Cameras for webcasting should be operational as scheduled.

Control rooms at district and block levels will be active from 3 pm on May 24 until the conclusion of voting.

Mittal emphasized the prevention of voter inducement and immediate action against any attempts.

The meeting was attended by Executive Magistrate David Balihar, SDO Mahendra Kumar, Director NEP Ajay Sao, Additional Municipal Commissioner Ranjit Lohra, and other officials.

Coordination and communication are crucial for maintaining order during the election period.
