Police Busts Gang of Thieves Operating in Telco and Sidhgora Areas, 6 Arrested

Stolen goods including mobile phones, brown sugar, bikes, and gold jewelry recovered

The police have uncovered a gang of thieves operating in the Telco and Sidhgora police station areas, arresting six individuals, including the gang leader Sunny Kalindi, and sending them to jail.

JAMSHEDPUR – Among those arrested are Sunny Kalindi, a resident of Bagunhatu Road Number 4, Vishwajeet Gorai alias Babu from Bhushan Colony Zone Number 8 in Baridih, Akash Dutta and Sonu Singh Sardar alias Teto from Bagunhatu Leda Bhatta riverside, Tinku Lal Sahu from Bagunhatu Road Number 5, and Sahil Kalindi from Jemco Basti in the Telco police station area.

The police have recovered 15 stolen mobile phones, 10 packets of brown sugar, three bikes, 10 halogen lights, Rs. 38,800 in cash, three old currency notes of Rs. 500, and rolled gold ornaments, including bangles, bracelets, and earrings, from the arrested individuals.

"We had been receiving continuous complaints of theft from the area," said City SP Mukesh Kumar Lunaiyat during a press conference at the SSP office.

He further added that a raid team was formed under the leadership of DSP Headquarters-1 Bhola Prasad Singh to tackle the issue.

The raid team included Sidhgora police station in-charge Gulam Rabbani, Sub-Inspectors Vikas Kumar and Mahendra Rai, among others, who worked together to expose the gang’s activities.

The arrests and recovery of stolen goods are expected to provide relief to the residents of Telco and Sidhgora areas, who had been facing frequent incidents of theft.

The police have assured that they will continue their efforts to maintain law and order in the region and take strict action against criminal activities.
