Biker snatches gold chain from woman at Hume Pipe Road Sakchi

Jamshedpur: Snatcher-gangs are continuing with their daredevil criminal activities without any restraint in different parts of the city. In the latest incident, a bike-borne snatcher targeted the wife of a Dr. A N Jha while she was on her morning walk.

According to information received, the incident occurred in Sakchi police station area. Dr. A N Jha’s wife was returning from her morning walk when a biker snatched her gold chain at Hume Pipe Road. The biker approached from behind her and snatched her chain and escaped with a 29 gram gold chain.

Dr. Jha’s wife fell on the ground and she cried for help. Before anyone could arrive there to help her the criminal escaped. On dialling 100, there was no response for a long time. The police, however, have been informed and they have started investigations.

Snatcher gangs have been quite active in the city and have been carrying out snatching incidents at regular intervals. This fresh incident of snatching has come as a big challenge for the police.
