Chennai Super Kings Partners with Yi for a Cause, Battling Child Sexual Abuse

CII-Young Indians and Chennai Super Kings collaborate for the Yi Masoom Cup 2023, aiming to raise awareness about child abuse and safeguard children.

JAMSHEDPUR – CII-Young Indians (Yi) has launched a significant initiative to tackle child sexual abuse by collaborating with the renowned IPL team, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), for the upcoming Yi Masoom Cup 2023.

This partnership is set to feature a high-profile exhibition match between Yi’s National Team and CSK at Chennai’s Chepauk Stadium on December 20, aimed at raising awareness about child abuse.

Harshil Dokania, a member of Yi Jamshedpur, will represent the Young Indians team in this crucial match against CSK.

Selected from among Yi members across 65 chapters, Harshil Dokania earned his spot through league matches held between July and November 2023.

The collaboration between Yi and CSK is a response to the increasing incidents of physical and digital child abuse.

By joining forces, Yi and CSK aim to dismantle the social stigma surrounding child sexual abuse and extend their reach to a global audience.

The Yi Masoom Cup, inaugurated by star cricketer Bhuvneshwar Kumar in July 2023, is a part of Young Indians’ Project Masoom, which seeks to safeguard children’s futures by amplifying awareness across different cultures and social strata.

Harshil Dokania, representing the Yi Jamshedpur Chapter, expressed his gratitude and honor in participating in this initiative, recognizing the critical need to address child abuse and the impact of the combined efforts of CSK and Yi in protecting youth and strengthening the nation.
