Jamshedpur Hosts First ‘Ambassadors for Change’ Training to Combat Child Abuse
CII Young Indians Organizes Session to Empower Teachers and Professionals in Detecting and Responding to Child Abuse
In a pioneering effort, the CII Young Indians (Yi) Jamshedpur chapter is set to host its first ‘Ambassadors for Change’ training session focused on addressing child sexual abuse.
JAMSHEDPUR – This groundbreaking session, organized by CII Young Indians (Yi) in Jamshedpur, aims to empower educators and professionals to effectively detect and tackle instances of child abuse.
Scheduled for April 27th, 2024, at the CFE Auditorium, the session will feature training facilitated by ‘ARPAN,’ a renowned Mumbai-based non-profit recognized internationally for its commitment to eradicating Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) in India.
Participants, particularly teachers, will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to deliver age-appropriate information and support to students who may have experienced unsafe situations.
The training will also enable the creation of trained personnel across various organizations who can lead Personal Safety Education (PSE) programs for children and conduct awareness sessions for adults.
With a blend of English and Hindi for communication, the full-day event will conclude with the distribution of certificates to attendees who complete the training.
