- Six-kilometre traffic jam disrupts movement
- Bus narrowly escapes major accident on route
JAMSHEDPUR – A truck crash near Seraikela early Saturday caused a long traffic jam and disrupted movement on a key highway.
The accident occurred early morning near the BJP office. It happened on the Seraikela-Chaibasa main road.
According to reports, the truck lost control after a tyre burst. It then crashed into a roadside tree.
Meanwhile, a passenger bus was passing through the same route. It narrowly escaped the collision.
However, the damaged truck got stuck across the road. This completely blocked vehicular movement in both directions.
As a result, long queues of vehicles formed quickly. The traffic jam reportedly stretched up to six kilometres.
Moreover, commuters faced severe inconvenience due to the blockage. Local residents also reported delays in daily movement.
On the other hand, the impact extended to the Tata-Seraikela route. Traffic slowed significantly on connected roads.
Soon after, police reached the accident site. Efforts began to remove the stranded truck from the road.
However, the congestion had not cleared at the time of reporting. Authorities continued working to restore normal traffic.
Meanwhile, officials planned to divert vehicles through alternate routes. This was aimed at easing congestion in affected areas.
Local residents demanded quick clearance of the road. They urged authorities to restore smooth movement soon.
