JAMSHEDPUR — XLRI Jamshedpur held its 70th Convocation on Saturday, celebrating 76 years of legacy in management education and reaffirming its commitment to producing leaders grounded in ethics and purpose.
The ceremony was graced by Mr. Sandeep Bakhshi, Chief Executive Officer of ICICI Bank, who served as the chief guest and delivered the convocation address. His remarks were centred on values-driven leadership and resilience in an evolving business environment.
The event was attended by members of the Board of Governors, senior faculty, distinguished dignitaries and the families of graduating students. The presence of the Board of Governors alongside one of India’s most prominent banking CEOs lent the occasion considerable significance for the outgoing cohort.
The convocation marked a milestone for an institution that has, over nearly eight decades, consistently positioned itself as one of India’s premier management schools. XLRI, run by the Society of Jesus, has long emphasised ethical leadership as the cornerstone of its academic philosophy.
Meanwhile, the graduating batch stepped forward carrying the institution’s stated tradition of defining leadership by values and measurable impact rather than by position or profit alone.
