XLRI Unveils 118-Strong PGDM-GM Batch for 2026-27

New cohort brings average four years of work experience, top-tier rankings

JAMSHEDPUR – XLRI Jamshedpur has introduced its new Post Graduate Diploma in Management (General Management) batch for the 2026-27 academic session.

The cohort comprises 118 students. The one-year, full-time residential programme is in its 75th year of operation.

The institute has been ranked the number one private B-school in India by The Week and Outlook ICARE for 2025. It has also been placed 82nd globally in the Financial Times Global MBA Ranking for 2026.

XLRI said it has secured Triple Crown accreditation, a designation that refers to AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA certification held simultaneously.

The new batch carries an average work experience of four years. Within the cohort, 41 percent of students have between 49 and 60-plus months of prior work experience.

The average age of the incoming batch is 26 years. About 60 percent of the cohort has come from the Indian Institutes of Technology, National Institutes of Technology and other Tier-1 institutions.

Students in the batch have previously worked at companies including McKinsey, Accenture, Apple, Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte, PwC, Goldman Sachs, Tata Steel and Adobe.

XLRI is a Jesuit-run business school based in Jamshedpur. It offers postgraduate programmes in business management and human resource management.
