JAMSHEDPUR – The district administration has completed all preparations for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, to be held on June 21. A total of eight examination centres have been set up across the district for the smooth and peaceful conduct of the test.
Nearly 4,000 candidates are expected to appear for NEET at these centres. Extensive security arrangements have been made to rule out any possibility of disturbance or irregularity during the exam.
Additional Superintendent of Police Rishabh Dwivedi said adequate police personnel would be deployed at every examination centre. He added that special surveillance would be maintained outside and around the centres.
Patrolling teams will also remain active to keep watch on suspicious activity, according to the ASP. Candidates will undergo thorough checks before being allowed entry into the centres, and prescribed guidelines will be strictly enforced.
The administration has also made arrangements to keep traffic movement smooth near the examination centres. This is meant to ensure that candidates face no difficulty in reaching their centres on time.
Candidates and their parents have been urged to arrive at the centres well ahead of the scheduled time. They have also been asked to follow all instructions related to the examination.
The district administration and police department said all necessary steps have been taken to ensure the exam is conducted in a fair, transparent and peaceful manner. Officials said strict action would be taken against anyone found indulging in irregularities or spreading rumours.
CCTV cameras have been installed at all examination centres as part of the security measures. Special monitoring is also being maintained at hotels and lodges across the city, according to officials.
