District Administration Honors Educators for Years of Service

JAMSHEDPUR – The East Singhbhum district administration organized a dignified farewell ceremony at the collectorate auditorium on Saturday to honor nine teachers who are retiring from service.
The teachers, who have rendered years of distinguished service in the field of education, were felicitated with shawls, bouquets and mementoes. Officials present at the event praised their contribution and wished them a healthy, happy and active life ahead.
Among those honored were Ram Shankar Singh, Sutirtha Kumar Rana, Phulmani Hembram, Ram Narayan Singh, Rita Kumari Paul, Neelam Kumari, Emlen Toppo, Pankaj Kumar Seat and Arun Kumar Jha.
District magistrate cum deputy commissioner Rajiv Ranjan said on the occasion that teachers form the strongest foundation of society. He said retirement from government service is merely an administrative process, but a teacher’s responsibility and contribution to society continue throughout life.
He further appreciated the years of dedicated service rendered by all the teachers, saying their experience and guidance would remain a source of inspiration for future generations.
Meanwhile, Dhalbhum sub-divisional officer Arnav Mishra said teachers do not merely impart curriculum-based education but also help develop values such as morality, discipline and social responsibility among students.
He said the retiring teachers had shaped the futures of thousands of students over their long careers, which stands as proof of their dedication and commitment.
During the ceremony, the retiring teachers shared memories of their service tenure and expressed gratitude toward the education department and the district administration.
Besides Ranjan and Mishra, the programme was attended by district education officer Nishu Kumari, district education superintendent Juhi Rani, along with several other officers and staff of the education department.
